Campaign by Equation
This set of posters were created for Equation, a Nottingham-based charity that supports domestic abuse victims. They were created to highlight the non-physical warning signs of relationship abuse.
The goal was to encourage friends and colleagues of potential abuse victims to be aware of the early warning signs and how to reach out for more information.
The posters were displayed on buildings, bus stops and tram stops around Nottingham city.
There are 6 posters in the series, each one presenting a different scenario of non physical abuse. All of the scenarios feature in an animation created by myself and another animator, which was used on Equation’s website and social media.
Later, Nottingham Muslim Women’s network commissioned us to adapt the existing animation to suit a Muslim audience.
This involved all text being translated into Arabic, and the clothing of most of the characters being altered to reflect Islamic dress.
